A bit about the festival:

Music lovers, river enthusiasts, culture vultures and party animals will enjoy the ten-day Twickenham Festival. Highlights include the Dragon Boat Racing Regatta, the French Market and al fresco dining in Church Street, which is closed to cars during weekend evenings.

Name: Kali. Owner of: Mary. Favourite book: The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams.
Kali looks a bit grumpy here but she’s actually very friendly and personable. As she’s a Bengal she does tend to talk a lot and has an opinion on most subjects.

Names: Daisy and Morris. Owners of: Debra. Favourite book:  We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver(Daisy), Six Dinner Sid by Inga Moore (Morris).

As you can see, Daisy is a very nurturing, caring cat who is always very sweetly  looking out for her brother. Morris is a little bit slow sometimes but will often have a nice warm meouw for you. They are both very cute and very cheeky- particularly Morris who’s ‘Kitty Cam’ has recorded him venturing in the footsteps of his hero, Six Dinner Sid and going to several of his neighbours’ houses to be fed!

Name: Toby. Owner of: Richard. Favourite book: The Very Lazy Lion by Jack Tickle.

Toby is a very old boy these days and spends most of his time dreaming about the good old days. He doesn’t get on with other cats but has been known to hang around with the local foxes and is always happy to have a loud, larger-than-life conversation with one of his many human friends.

Name: Katski. Owner of: Unknown. Favourite Book: The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

She’s not really one of our cats but she pops in from time to time for a browse. She lives down on The Embankment and, as she’s a Russian Blue we call her Katski (although we think she calls herself by another name). As she prowls around like a tiger- very sure of herself and letting her out the occasional roar- we’ve decided her favourite book is The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

During our renovations several months ago our Classics Section took a few casualties and subsequently got merged with fiction.
We’re now extremely happy to announce that we have a new Classics Section featuring well over 150 titles from as little as £1.99 !
